The gold standard of recording support is for your session to have a director in charge, rather than just an engineer.

I (Gordon) can direct you in person in a New York City studio, or via Skype wherever in the world you are. I’ll work with you to make sure your recording reflects your text. Though you’re welcome to modify your words as you go, I’ll make sure that you have the opportunity to fix any mistakes or inadvertent changes. I’ll help you keep your delivery in tune with the moods and motivation of your book, with suggestions of the best emphasis, tone, and volume. I’ll also offer tips for getting through specific reading challenges, such as long lists, complicated sentence structures, and wording that needs modification to make sense out loud. Check my testimonials for examples of how authors have appreciated my contribution. I look forward to helping you as well.
